The Slater Endowment was started as a tribute to Dane and Judy Slater and their lifetime of service to the city of Troy. This endowment will provide grants to charitable groups that support volunteerism and participation in community life.

Dane Slater served as Mayor of Troy from 2012-2019 and was co-founder of the Troy Community Foundation in 2016 along with Doug Tietz.
