Troy Family Daze

Celebrating its 50th Anniversary in 2019, a volunteer subcommittee organizes a 4-day family-focused festival that features children’s programing, petting zoo, cultural programs, fair rides, and programing for developmentally disabled youths.

  • 25,000 people attend the festival every year

  • Programing includes: International Day, “Special Kids day”, children’s games,

  • Proceeds from the festival are returned to the community through charitable grants

Friends of Troy Seniors

Friends of Troy Seniors provides individuals, 50 years and older with a sense of purpose and community through enhancing senior programing and events in Troy.  With more than 1,100 members the Friends of Troy Seniors provides a variety of programing.

Troy Senior Computer Learning Center

Organized and operated by a volunteer committee, the Troy Senior Computer Learning Center provides seniors access to education about computer technology and the Internet.

Senior Home Assistance Repair Program (SHARP)

SHARP is a volunteer group organized to assist seniors maintain their home and remain in their home.  Seniors request assistance and a trained volunteer goes to their home to do the repair at no cost to the homeowner. This program has served more than 3,100 residents in the last 5 years.

Angel Pillow

The Angel Pillow Project was created to encourage healing, offer support and provide comfort to breast cancer patients. The heart-shaped pillows are made by breast cancer survivors and help soothe both physical and emotional pain immediately after surgery, radiation or other treatment. This program has given away more than 3,000 pillows in the last 7 years
